There are basic, specialized, bilingual, and many others, but now I will talk about what, for our educational purposes, is in my opinion, one of the most beneficial, and that is a monolingual dictionary written in the language we are learning.

Many of us have the habit of going to online translators or bilingual dictionaries to quickly get out of doubt when it comes to words unknown to us in another language, but do you know everything you can find in a good monolingual dictionary and that you will hardly discover with a simple translator? Abundant are the advantages of learning another language having a good monolingual dictionary, these are based on the usefulness of the resources that it provides and the effects that these produce in the ways of thinking and learning of the student, some of the attributes that we will usually find in one of these works are:

• Definition or definitions of the word

Los hay básicos, especializados, bilingües, y muchos otros, pero ahora te hablaré del que, para nuestros propósitos educativos, es en mi opinión, uno de los más beneficiosos, y ese es un diccionario monolingüe escrito en el idioma que estamos aprendiendo.

Muchos de nosotros tenemos la costumbre de acudir a los traductores en línea o a los diccionarios bilingües para salir rápidamente de la duda cuando se trata de palabras desconocidas para nosotros en otro idioma, pero ¿sabes todo lo que puedes encontrar en un buen diccionario monolingüe y que difícilmente descubrirás con un traductor sencillo? bien, si lo sabes te felicito por hacer un uso inteligente de este recurso, si no, sigue leyendo para que lo descubras.
